It is the time of year when the board of directors convenes a Nominations Committee to garner support from members to stand in election for the board of directors to govern your Battlefords & District Chamber of Commerce.

Bylaw, Article 6 - Elections - is the bylaw section under which provisions for a period of open nominations is required and the election process is laid out. This open period for nominations will close at the end of business Wednesday, November 20th, 2024.

For a 2025-2026 term on the board of directors an opening for four (4) two-year terms exists. There are no one (1) year terms to fill.

Your board of directors is to be made up of a minimum 15 elected positions.  We currently have seated 17 positions on the board but have vacant positions that will bring us down to the 15 elected directors.

For clarification, the 15 seats will include:

  • Nine (9) persons remain seated for the 2024-2025 term, 1 year to serve;
  • Four (4) vacancies will occur as a result of the 2023-2024 terms that will expire;
  • Two (2) one year appointments for each of the Chair and Past Chair in 2025.

If you have an interest in either allowing your name to stand in the election, or you wish to nominate another member in good standing to serve in the election process for the board of directors, we ask that you contact the Battlefords & District Chamber of Commerce office, either by phone (306)445-6226, email admin@battlefordschamber.com or send the form by fax (306)446-0188.
